Abdur Rahman b Auf was one of the six persons who had been nominated by Umar to choose the Caliph from among themselves. Abdur Rahman withdrew his candidature, and played the part of a truthful arbitrator in resolving the dispute. Abdur Rahman gave his verdict in favor of Uthman, and Uthman was according1y elected as the Caliph. Abdurrahman bin Auf R.A pun juga gembira. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf ( Arabic: عبد الرحمن بن عوف) ( c. 581–654) [1] : 94, 103 [2] was one of the companions of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. One of the wealthiest among the companions, he is known for being one of the ten to whom Paradise was promised according to Sunni Muslims. He was, therefore, appointed to seek a common census for the next Khalifah. Hazrat ‘Abdur Rahman bin ‘Auf(ra) took the opinions of the Council members and other prominent Muslims and the majority votes were in favor of Hazrat ‘Uthman Ghani (ra). He was, therefore, declared as the elected Khalifah and everyone took the oath of allegiance .
